Road Map to an 825 Credit Score

Posted on | August 27, 2009 | 1 Comment

Follow up to how the road map to an 825 credit score.

As I wrote in the earlier post I started at age 14 working for myself and putting money in the bank. I cut lawns, shoveled snow and so on. By 16 I had over $6k in my saving account. I didn’t know anything about credit back then and simply got by doing the right thing, paying my bills on time.

Then over time I received one credit card and another and so on, and one day I was “gold” with the banks. They gave me credit for anything, literally.

Then as things were going their best…….as life would have it…… I was taken for a very bad ride by a woman who scammed me into marrying her – but that’s another story – and after a few years, divorce.

Then after several years of battling w/ attorneys (who got 90% of it)…….my savings were gone and so was everything else, cars, boat, house etc…..

I went bankrupt……that’s bad, but not the end…….as I wrote before…..success is a great motivator.

So I had to start over and I did one step at a time. However this time was harder because I had to get over the bad credit rating I now had.

How to Write a Formal Email/business letter

Posted on | August 21, 2009 | No Comments

A formal Email should be written as if it is a business letter. You should have a clear understanding of to whom it should be addressed to and how you plan to communicate your clear intentions throughout the Email correspondence. The following are the list of steps for writing a formal E-mail.

1. Begin with the full name, title, business and email address of the person to whom you are writing.

2. Write the actual message in a clear and concise manner. Don’t forget to check for spelling and grammatical errors once you completed the message.

3. Check the message to make sure you included and justified all the reasons you are writing the Email.

4. Fill out the To and From fields in the Email.

5. Pick a subject that will draw the attention of the reader. Do not pick a random subject that has nothing to do with the reasons that you are Emaling the person. This also makes it easier for the person to search for your Email if you call them in reference to your Email.

Entrepreneurs Fear Not!

Posted on | August 21, 2009 | No Comments

Any successful entrepreneur will tell you that fear is a terrible mindset to have for business. It saps the life out of your business like nothing else can. It erodes your confidence in your own abilities and undermines the faith people have in your ability to lead.

Entrepreneurs are faced with hundreds of decisions, both big and small, each and everyday. If they spend too much time second guessing themselves because they want everything to be perfect, they’re not getting as much done as they should. Fear of making mistakes is what keeps people from actually learning. Adjust your mindset. Don’t strive for perfection. Aim for excellence, that’s a lot easier to achieve.

Recognize that fear comes from no other source than you. Only you can make yourself be afraid of something. This is especially true when we fear the unknown. Entrepreneurs need to be able to face any challenge with confidence. There simply is no point to worrying about things you can’t control. Adjust your mindset from worrying about the future to strengthening your position in the present to deal with any contingency. Read more
